My wife and I have stayed at the Argyle Square Hotel before and were more than happy to use it again this time. It is absolutely ideal for a quick overnight stay in London, being located so close to King's Cross and St Pancras, so giving easy access to trains and the underground, although it's a surprisingly short walk to Covent Garden and the West End too. We knew what to expect in terms of the facilities in our room and were not let down at all. Once again we had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Our room was clean and tidy, and the hotel itself is located on a pretty quiet street. We had no issues with external noise at night or at a stupidly early hour of the morning either. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, too. We were able to leave our bags prior to checking in, and after checking out. We were always greeted politely, asked how we were and how our day had been, and we were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. We will happily stay here again in the future.

This was my first stay in this hotel. It was OK, which is far better than some other hotels I have tried in London. The location is perfect, very close to the stations and the tube, but in a quiet street, from where it is nice to walk into Bloomsbury the back streets. As a single traveller I had booked a double room, because the single rooms looked too tight from the pictures. The double room I got was still very tight, but just enough space for one person. The staff were friendly and I was also able to leave my luggage there before checkin time, something many other hotels in the same price category in London do not offer. The room was clean and cool, due to its location in the lower ground floor. That was OK,since the temperatures at the time were very hot. The room service was fine, fresh towels every day.

I'm a 73 year old woman, and I must say the staff were amazing - they were extremely helpful, kind and went above and beyond to help me whenever I needed it - leaping to my assistance whenever they saw me carrying heavy bags. I had a lovely view of the park, and the water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were perfect. Location is central and connected to all the tubes, with the British Library across the street with a lot of lovely small restaurants.

Andrea

The rooms have been upgraded within recent years. Of course they're small, and of course one has to climb several flights of stairs (this is, after all, a "budget" hotel); but the furnishings, the lighting, and especially the bathroom fixtures are far superior to those in other comparable establishments. The staff was helpful, the desk is staffed 24/7. I'll stay here again, unless they raise their prices.

William

The location was very convenient although a bit loud due to proximity to the train stations, and a general nearby nightlife, but I felt relatively safe outside nonetheless. The park across the street was beautiful in the daylight. The room itself was clean and tidy and had everything necessary for the night. The shower could even get pretty hot, which is hard to find these days!
